John Swanson,
editor/
associate publisher of Window & Door | A little over a month from now, the first official votes will be cast in the 2008 presidential campaign. So, not to let CNN, the Wall Street Journal, NBC, the New York Times, etc., etc., have all the fun, I’ve decided it's time for WDweekly to do the first ever window and door industry presidential poll. I can’t promise it will be as meaningful as the other polls—heck, we’ll let Canadians have their say too—but I thought it might be interesting to see how our industry’s preferences compare with the nation’s as a whole.
It’s actually going to be a two-week project. This week is devoted to candidates for the Democratic Party nomination; next week we turn to candidates on the Republican side. And, of course, I’d love to hear from you. Email me and let me know why you think a particular candidate would be good (or bad) for our country or industry.
RESULTS AND COMMENTS FROM LAST WEEK'S POLL—"In 2008, I expect new product launches and innovation in the window and door industry...": What will happen to innovation next year? Click here to read the results of last week’s poll...
