The Talk...

My company was born because:
The founder went into business after successfully working for another company.
The founder researched many industries but saw potential in windows and doors.
My company is an expansion company of another company serving an adjacent market.
The founder was an “accidental entrepreneur,” starting the company while unemployed.
Our story falls into an “other” category.

Hey everyone. Happy Wednesday! So I came across an interesting story over the weekend about a gentleman who became an “accidental entrepreneur” after losing his job. The unexpected employment situation nudged him into starting his own business. Now I’ve heard bunches of stories about plant managers, top salespeople and installation crew leaders who decide at some point that they’d be better off earning money for themselves than for their employers, but I can’t recall if any became “accidental entrepreneurs” thanks to unemployment.

If you know the reason behind your company’s founding, please take a minute to weigh-in on my poll this week. If you have an interesting story to share about why your company came into existence, by all means, shoot me an email!
