of Window & Door | In Tucson last week, the Window & Door Manufacturers Association outlined plans to get its members' voices heard in Washington. Given the industry grumbling about the last minute shift in window, door and skylight tax incentive requirements in the stimulus bill, I suspect some wish our industry’s presence was already stronger there.
WDMA is considering a move to host a legislative conference in our nation’s capitol—combining a meeting with the opportunity to visit with legislators. The Northeast Window & Door Association is planning a “fly-in” this year to give its manufacturer members a chance to meet with their representatives.
So, will these efforts do any good? That’s our poll question of the week. And, perhaps more importantly, if they are going to do some good, what should it be? Just what would you ask your legislator to do to benefit our industry and our country? Email me and let me know.
