One-Org from improveit 360
improveit 360’s One-Org solution acts as a single business management platform and CRM to bring manufacturer dealer networks together under one system. Functionality includes CRM and lead management, appointment scheduling, sales tools and quoting, marketing and call centers, project management, and business intelligence and reporting. The customizable operations system, built exclusively for the home improvement industry, is said to provide better management visibility, support for standardized procedures, and greater control. The software also has an app and uses cloud-based storage for secure, remote access.

The sun was hot, the breeze was refreshing, and the air was extremely dry in the middle of the barren, desolate desert. Las Vegas is a city of lights, entertainment and diversity—and that’s just what was offered at this year’s GlassBuild America event held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

More than 430 companies were set up and situated around the center, ranging from glass and window equipment manufacturers to software companies and components suppliers. At the far end of the convention center, window and door dealers gathered within the highly anticipated Dream Showroom, which was full of window and door displays.

The first Window & Door Dealer Days kicked off with an informative and inspiring keynote led by Marcus Sheridan, The Sales Lion and CEO of River Pools & Spas. Window and door specialty retailers across the world listened in to gain knowledge about marketing strategies, SEO and the importance of building trust with potential clients.

On both days of the dealer’s event, we covered a wide assortment of topics. The Franklin Window and Door staff and other dealer attendees shared their knowledge and got answers to questions that encompassed a range of issues we all face. We talked about marketing and sales strategies, the day-to-day perks and downfalls of the business and thought about where the industry is headed for the future.

And, this future is dire. It’s the vitality and longevity of our industry, especially in this technologically balanced world. As Sheridan noted in his opening remarks, we’re not merely window and door dealers but, first and foremost, media companies. With that simple statement, he reminded us that our business models need to transform to accommodate for the rapid growth of technology and for the accessibility of different digital mediums. At Franklin Window and Door, we’re taking these words to heart. Upon returning to Carmel, Indiana, we’ve already made an extensive list of what we hope to achieve in the days, months and years to come. Right now, we’re turning our attention to new website design models, 3D scanner applications, and even virtual-reality software to ensure a one-of-a-kind experience for our current and future clients.

This Window & Door Dealer Days experience was built around the idea of sharing. In that spirit, we also shared our expectations and ideas for the Window & Door Dealers Alliance in the years to come. We are excited to see how the event evolves and what the WDDA and GlassBuild have in store.
