New Leadership at Alside

Associated Materials Inc., parent company of Alside Windows, appointed Thomas N. Chieffe as president and CEO, effective Oct. 2.

He succeeds Dana Snyder, who has served in those posts on an interim basic following the resignation of Michael Caporale in June.

Chieffe joins Associated Materials from Kraftmaid Cabinetry Inc., a division of Masco Corp.

As president and CEO of Kraftmaid, Chieffe was credited for driving substantial revenue growth utilizing a multiple brand strategy through various distribution channels. He also improved profitability by focusing on cost and quality improvement, according to the owners of Associated Materials, the private equity firms Investcorp S.A. and Harvest Partners Inc.

Associated Materials manufactures vinyl windows, siding and a variety of home improvement products, and operates distribution centers around the country.
