American Window Alliance Members Gather in Atlanta

More than 35 American Window Alliance sales professionals gathered in Atlanta earlier this month to discuss the organization’s future sales and marketing efforts. The alliance consists of nine independent vinyl window fabricators that have partnered to offer a nationally-branded product and coordinated services.

Topics discussed included brand identity and promotion, differentiation strategies and competitive advantages. The group was joined by Deceuninck North America executives Mark Parrish, president and CEO; Eric Kent, vice president of sales and Phil Lester, national accounts manager. Deceuninck supplies vinyl profiles to AWA member companies, and its executives facilitated discussions about how they could all sell more products by leveraging their collective relationships locally, regionally and nationally, notes Mark Adams, AWA executive director.

"We cover large geographic regions as a team and we feel that we can better serve large regional and national distributors/dealers with our ability to deliver products with our localized service," he states. "We have the flexibility to deliver like a local fabricator, while serving large national/regional accounts because of our geographic locations across the Eastern half of the U.S. We are actively working to better leverage that dynamic."

New products for the DP-50 and impact window markets "are just now coming to fruition and with five of our members located at or near coastal areas, this is a major step forward for several members of our team," Adams reports.

Alliance member window companies include Mathews Brothers, Belfast, ME; Stergis Aluminum Products, Walpole, MA; Syron Industries, Syracuse, NY; Alliance Vinyl Windows of NJ, Mt. Ephraim, NJ; Yale Industries, Inc., Dayton, OH; Midway Windows & Doors Inc., Chicago, IL; BMD Window Co., N. Kansas City, MO; Pro Window & Door, Little Rock, AR; and Alliance Vinyl Windows of LA, Slidell, LA.
