Wausau Windows to Consolidate Operations
Commercial window manufacturer Wausau Window and Wall Systems plans to consolidate all of its operations into a new 350,000-square-foot building. Wausau’s parent company, Apogee Enterprises, gave the nod for the consolidation plan, and officials made the announcement to employees last week. “It’s been a long time coming,” Rick Marshall, president, told the Wausau Daily Herald. “We had outgrown our facilities, and it’s time to move on.”
The company intends to sell its current facility, located on the west side of Wausau, Wis., and its sister company Linetec will take over ownership of the companies’ shared plant. Marshall told the local paper that he expects the new building, to built in the Wausau area, to be ready to occupy by the fall of 2008.
